Started Primary school at Chingwenya in Namwera,  Mangochi in 1963. Went to different primary schools in Malawi.  Obtained the Primary School Leaving Certificate (PSLC) at  Zomba Government Primary School in 1971.

Obtained the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with sixteen (16) points at Robert Blake Secondary School in Dowa in 1975.

Graduated from Chancellor College of the University of Malawi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Statistics in 1979.

Was registered as a Diplomate Accountant with  Malawi Accountants  Board on 1st September 1991.

Graduated from De Montfort University in Leicester, UK in 2001 with an MBA Qualification.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Has  Six (6) Years external auditing with Deloittes in Malawi

Has twelve (12) years Global Internal Auditing in Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique, Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania, Somalia, Ethiopian, Eritrea, Sudan, Chad, Niger, Senegal, Ghana, Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, UAE-Dubai, Iran, Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Hong Kong (China), mainland China, Mongolia, Geneva-Switzerland; London-UK and Los Angeles - USA

Provided financial services to the massive 2008 Malawi population census exercise at Malawi Government National Statistical Office(NSO) in Zomba as staff of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) until his appointment as Malawi Housing Corporation General Manager on 15th September, 2008.  A notable financial support to the 2008 Malawi Population Census was his convincing of  Irish Aid and DFID to release more than $4million to UNFPA for enumeration after a persuasive presentation on financial controls established for the 2008 Malawi Census on 7th May 2008 at UNFPA Office in Lilongwe - Malawi
